Postpartum Fitness - One Day is Not Coming

When you say you’re going to do something do you do it?
Do you keep the promises you make to yourself?
So often I feel like I let go of the thing I committed to and do what other people want me to do, I let the opinion of other people rule my actions.
Sometimes, it's just me deciding that the thing I promised myself wasn’t important enough and I can get to it later, or start over later.
Do you ever do that?
Do you ever leave things till later and then wonder, when is later going to come?
I do and I am sick of it.
I’m sick of saying it’ll all work out one day.
One day I’ll fully commit.
One day drop my postpartum excuses and make my health goals a priority.
One day I’ll stop caring about what Karen thinks and actually give my business my all.
One day I’ll stop prioritizing instant gratification and actually do what I think God is calling me to.
ONE DAY IS NOT COMING.

I committed to this gut protocol because I knew one day was not coming.
I knew I had to create the urgency myself or I definitely will not lose the postpartum weight before I get pregnant again.
I committed knowing I probably wouldn’t see the best results because I am postpartum and I am exclusively breastfeeding and both of those circumstances means that hormones aren’t totally normal.
I committed anyway because I had to decide today is one day.
I committed and I lost 9 lbs in 4 weeks.
I committed and I feel like I have more energy and mental clarity than I’ve had in a long time.
I committed and I feel so much more in control of my emotions.
I committed and was told twice my face looked brighter (idk maybe it was makeup, but I wore the same stuff I normally do).
I committed and I gained so much confidence.
I committed and I stuck to it even when we had family dinners with my parents or my in-laws.
I said no to some foods and said yes to sticking to my word.
Make today your one day.
Stop putting off your goals.
Stop making the best version of yourself the last priority.
