What’s Changing Since Starting Peptides: My Next Step in Healing

If you’ve followed my healing journey, you know I’ve walked through a lot the past year from the candida diet to homeopathy, to liver support, to remediating our home after mold exposure. I’ve seen incredible progress in my skin, digestion, and overall energy. But even after all of that… something was still off.
I still couldn’t tolerate certain foods without itching. Caffeine made me break out in something that looked like eczema. Egg whites, tomatoes, chocolate, all my favorite snacks and meals, were still triggering me.
At first, I chalked it up to “this is just my body now.” But the more I paid attention and researched, the more I realized I wasn’t just reacting to foods, I was having major histamine releases.
Realizing It Was Histamine All Along
For months, I’d have itchy skin after caffeine or chili, or a burning sensation around my eyes after eggs, or feel flushed after a meal. I used my tallow and manuka honey cream three to five times a day. Homeopathy (Ant. Crud. 6C) was helping, but I was still having to take it multiple times daily. I felt stuck in a frustrating loop of progress but not freedom.
That’s when a friend of mine, someone I trust, shared her experience with bioactive precision peptides.
Now, let me just say: I was so skeptical.
I’d watched the company launch, saw people jump on board, and it honestly rubbed me the wrong way. The marketing felt pushy. So many “before and afters” floating around were the same photos people had used to promote other fitness programs months to years prior to ever trying peptides. It felt disingenuous, like people were chasing a quick buck rather than truly healing.
What Changed My Mind
Then came my friend. She’s as holistic as they come, cooks from scratch, uses homeopathy, loves natural living, and she started using these peptides not for weight loss, but for healing.
She wasn’t just “sharing her link.” She was explaining how peptides work in the body, how they’re naturally occurring, not synthetic, and how they can help your body restore communication between cells and systems that have gone a bit “offline” after chronic stress or illness.
And then I saw her results. Her autoimmune symptoms started disappearing. Her homeopathic remedies began working more effectively again. She looked calmer, clearer, more alive.
That’s when I realized maybe there was something here worth exploring.
Trying Peptides for Myself
After months of frustration and prayer (and honestly, a little desperation), I decided to try the bioactive peptides.
Within three days, I noticed something wild: The itching was almost gone.
I went from needing my tallow cream multiple times a day to maybe once. From taking homeopathy 5+ times a day to going entire days without it, or just using it twice on days I had higher histamine foods.
The difference was undeniable.
What I’ve Noticed So Far
It’s only been a short time, but here’s what I’ve noticed:
Less itching and histamine reactions: I am still reacting but not as bad and it doesn’t last as long as it was. Before the peptides my flares lasted 2-3 days, now they only last 1!
Improved energy and focus: It’s that clear-headed, steady kind of energy I haven’t felt since having my third baby.
Better detox support: My body seems to be handling toxins more efficiently, without huge flare-ups that used to follow.
Mental clarity and calm: I feel more present, less reactive, and more capable of handling stress.
It’s too early to call anything “done,” but I feel genuinely hopeful, and that’s something I haven’t said in a while.
Why I’m Sharing This
I’m not here to sell you on peptides. I’m here because I want to be honest about what’s working and what isn’t, especially after a long year of trial, error, and prayer.
I don’t believe in quick fixes, and I still believe deeply in supporting the body through real food, faith, detoxing, low-tox living and patience. But I also believe God gives us tools along the way and maybe, just maybe, this is one of them for me.

And track how my body responds to different peptides
Healing isn’t linear. But lately, for the first time in a long time, I’m feeling like it’s finally moving forward.
